CCC Donations and Bequests
CCC has begun, and is committed to growing, an endowment fund for the primary purpose of sustaining the future presence and ministry of our church in this sacred place. A separate committee (the Endowment
Committee), whose task is to oversee and manage the endownment investment portfolio, is elected by the congregation to staggered 3-year terms. Donations and bequests are welcomed and can be processed at any time.
Currently, we are receiving donations and memorial gifts for our permanent labyrinth sanctuary floor project. For more information contact the church office at 415-435-9108.
The CCC Legacy Circle
Through a charitable bequest in your will or living trust, you can help assure that CCC will continue to be a thriving congregation and a home for all those seeking to deepen their connection to the Spirit and desiring to work with others for a better world. The CCC Legacy Circle is a planned giving society that has been established to thank those who help ensure that CCC continues to serve future generations by including CCC in their estate plan. If you inform CCC of your planned gift, you will be acknowledged- publicly or privately, as you choose- and invited to join the occasional special activities of the Legacy Circle. Your bequest to CCC will go into the CCC Endowment Fund, unless otherwise specified, and the principal amounts of the gifts to the Endowment Fund will be retained and preserved and only the income from the investments of the assets of the Endowment will be applied to the congregational operating budget.
CCC offers information on a variety of ways to make your commitment:
A Charitable Bequest: Instruct your attorney to add a charitable
bequest for CCC in your will for a specific amount, a specific property, or
for a percentage of your estate.
Insurance Policies: Designate the CCC Endowment Fund as recipient
of all or part of the proceeds of a life insurance policy. Ask your
insurance company for a beneficiary designation form.
Retirement Plans: Designate CCC to receive part or all of what remains
of your retirement plan after your death. Such transfers can be a very
tax-efficient way of making a gift. For example, heirs may receive as little
as 30% of a retirement plan from a large estate after estate tax and
income tax. CCC will receive all of it tax-free.
A Charitable Remainder Trust: Through estate planning professionals,
CCC can provide a confidential analysis of the tax and income benefits
available to you and your family through a charitable remainder trust.
