Wholistic Nurture Team
September 1, 2017 marked the beginning of a Faith Community Nursing Wholistic Health Program for CCC members and their families. An Indian proverb says, “Every person is a house with four rooms: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual – PEMS. Members of the Wholistic Nurture Team will visit any of your "rooms" upon request. Included in this program – as either members of an advisory council or the visitation teams themselves – are two doctors, four RN’s, an LPN, six ministers, mental health professionals, and/or social workers, and a number of non-medically trained visitors. Rev. Ann Eichhorn, RN, FCN has been authorized to lead this team and its efforts. For more information, please contact Ann Eichhorn.
The Team currently is serving ten members on a regular basis. Beginning in January 2018, the nurses will be conducting monthly blood pressure checkups on the first Sunday of the month. These services will be offered between services (from 8:45 to 9:45 am) in the Nurture office off the deck. Getting your blood pressure checked will only take a few minutes of your time and is a good way to begin the new year tracking your good health practices.
