About Us
We live in an extraordinary place here in Marin County, and there are so many things to do with our precious time, especially on a Sunday morning! For the members of CCC, there's nowhere they'd rather be most Sunday mornings than with their church community, worshipping together and sharing fellowship. While it is absolutely true that the Holy One can be experienced on a walk through Muir Woods or a bike ride down Mount Tamalpais, it can be a deeply nurturing experience to join in worship with others on Sunday mornings at CCC. Folks also enjoy socializing with friends after both services, and coffee and tea (and sometimes baked goods!) are available in the Sanctuary throughout the morning.
We offer two Sunday morning worship services: At 7:30 a.m. in the Seminar Room you may join us for what we characterize as a more "contemplative" setting and service. It includes periods of silence and meditation along with the minister's message and time for prayer. Our second service is held in the main Sanctuary at 10 a.m. The service includes child care, congregational singing, and on most Sundays, an offering from the CCC Choir. We are blessed to have the award-winning jazz pianist Scott DeTurk serving as our music director, and Tripp Hanson as our delightful, spirited choir director. Communion is served at both services on the first Sunday of the month.
The church is open through the week with pastoral drop-in hours. You may set up a time to meet with the minister by calling our administrator Joanne Lefferts at 415-435-9108. CCC offers periodic classes, concerts and talks, and information about upcoming events is available on the calendar page of this site. If you wish to visit our church outside of business hours, we invite you to consider coming in the evening to walk our beautiful outdoor labyrinth or to sit on our stone wall and enjoy a spectacular view of San Francisco Bay.
