Retreats
CCC offers four retreats each year – something for everybody!
Family Retreat – Over Labor Day weekend each year, church members of all ages head for the bucolic meadows, woods and orchards of River's Bend Retreat Center, beside the beautiful Navarro River in Philo, California. The Family Retreat offers us a time to reconnect with each other, renew ourselves, and welcome newcomers. We laze by the river, enjoy bountiful meals from the organic garden, and sing by the campfire under millions of stars. Some of us stay in cabins, others in tents. Come by yourself, bring your whole family, or bring a friend or a grandchild. All are welcome to partake of this special experience of community.

Silent Retreat – During the Lenten season, lay facilitators offer a silent retreat in our beautiful Seminar Room.
This day-long retreat is a structured experience of the power of contemplative silence in a community setting.
We spend time meditating, journaling, walking the labyrinth together, and taking a blissful nap in the afternoon.
We bring bag lunches and share a meal in silence. We are always amazed at how the bonds of community can be
deepened during a day of shared silence.

Women’s Retreat – This nurturing weekend allows CCC women of all ages to connect at deeper levels with each other and themselves. Together we pray, sing, meditate, and engage in creative activities. We also devote time to personal sharing -- for many a highlight of the retreat. At the end of the retreat we return home with our souls renewed and refreshed, having shared much love and laughter with our CCC sisters.
Men’s Retreat -- The annual CCC Men's Retreat is held in the sacred and serene surroundings of River's Bend Retreat Center in the Anderson Valley. During this weekend of fellowship the men of CCC come together to share their spiritual journeys, guided by skilled lay facilitators. Besides sharing quiet contemplative time together, the participants also have ample opportunity just to relax, pitch horseshoes, press apple cider, and walk in the autumn woods along the Navarro River.
